About the Library & Archives

The Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin Library & Archives is dedicated to the preservation and propagation of all the works of the Vajra Regent. The Library & Archives is also engaged in the transcription, editing, and publication of his extensive teachings in print, digital, audio, and video formats, including public talks and seminars on Buddhist teachings; Shambhala Training program talks; group interviews and community talks; vows and other ceremonies. The Library & Archives is continuing its efforts in the location and collection of originals and reproductions of poems, photographs, and calligraphies created by the Vajra Regent. Announcements of events are posted on the Library & Archives website: www.VROT.org.

UPCOMING EVENTS IN 2026 (YEAR OF THE FIRE HORSE)

 

  • Monthly: New Moon practice and study of the “Sadhana of Mahamudra,” including audio/video of talks by the Vidyadhara, the Vajra Regent and other senior teachers. Open to all.

  • Monthly: “Roar of the Werma Sadhana” practice and study with audio of talks by the Vidyadhara, the Vajra Regent and other senior teachers. Werma Sadhana practitioners only.

  • Monthly: Short form “Vajrayogini Sadhana” practice and study of the Vajra Regent’s teachings from The Indestructible Path: The Sadhana of the Co-emergent Mother. Sadhakas only.

  • Monthly: “Recollections.” Participants share memorable teaching moments with the Vidyadhara, the Vajra Regent, and other lineage teachers. Open to all.

  • Bi-Monthly: “Mindfulness, Awareness and Compassion Meditations.” A sequence of short meditations, followed by discussion, led by Joseph Parent. Open to all.

  • February – March: Shambhala Day and Milarepa Day. One-day practice programs. Open to all.

  • April: Program commemorating the Parinirvana of Vidyadhara the Venerable Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Open to all.

  • May – June: “The Paramita of Meditation,” a course based on audio/video teachings by Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin. Discussion will be led by Michael Rich. Open to all.

  • June: Third anniversary of the Parinirvana of Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche. Open to all.

  • June: Second anniversary of the Parinirvana of Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche. Open to all.

  • August: Program commemorating the Parinirvana of Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin. Open to all.

  • September – December: “Awakened Heart,” a course based on the Vajra Regent’s Level 4 Shambhala Training teachings, to be led by Lady Lila Rich. Open to all.

  • October – anniversary of 16 Karmapa Parinirvana. Open to all.

The Venerable Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche empowered the Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin in 1976, as his lineage holder in the Kagyü and Nyingma Tibetan Buddhist traditions. The Library & Archives is located in Boulder, Colorado, and disseminates teachings throughout the world in video, audio, and print form.
